The bar arrived quickly and was as described. Once again, not intended for children, but upon examination, without the cuffs, it could be useful in blocking the sliding patio door. There is a second use for everything. It does have an adjustable length and is lightweight, perfect for beginners who need to ease into the device.It was affordable and not scary as some of the more advanced spreader bars can be. It was easy to assemble--my boyfriend snapped it together in less than a minute. The cuffs are also adjustable but do run a little small. They fit my ankles just fine, but if your ankles are large, be prepared to get a Velcro extender. The cuffs were easy to attach to the bar as well.
